Crested Butte Nordic Center

The Nordic Ski Capital of Colorado

Crested Butte Nordic grooms 50 kilometers of trails for classic and skate skiing and snowshoeing that leave right from town and wind into the backcountry through aspen groves and pine forests. Rentals, trail passes, and retail items are available for purchase at the Nordic Center in downtown Crested Butte. Reservations and purchases can also be made online for easy pick-up at the Nordic Center. Private lessons and guided ski and snowshoe tours are also available.

Trails Open for Season

Lessons

All lessons are private and 75 minutes in length. Your choice of classic or skate style. Trail pass and rental gear is included. Lessons must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.

Adult Private Lessons

One Person: $130 // Additional: $65

Offered daily at 9, 10:30, 12, and 1:30

Youth Private Lessons (Ages 5-16)

One Person: $130 // Additional: $65

Offered daily at 9:30 and 11:00

Family Private Lessons

One Person: $130 // Additional: $65

Any combination of adults and kids, ages 5 and up are welcome. Offered daily at 9:30 and 11:00.

Rentals

Ski Packages (Full Day)

Adult: $25 // Child: $15

Ski packages come with boots and poles. We have a fleet of Fischer rental skis including traditional cross-country (classic) skis with fish scales, backcountry classic skis with metal edges, and classic skis with mohair skins (Fischer Twin Skins). We also rent Fischer RCR and RCS skate skis.

Snowshoe Packages (Full Day)

Adult: $20 // Child: $10

Snowshoe packages come with optional boots and poles, though we do encourage you to wear your own winter footwear if you have it. We rent men’s, women’s, and children’s snowshoes.

Hockey & Figure Skates

Adult: $20 // Child: $10
